The Brown Plumb Foundation is a registered charity founded in honour of the philanthropic endeavours of Stephen Brown and Percy and Lillian Plumb.
The founders and management team are passionate about continuing their tireless charitable efforts.
Dr Darren Pawski PhD MFB, DipFP
Managing Director
Co-Founder
Darren founded the Brown Plumb foundation in 2020 after having a long career in the financial services industry. He joined the Commonwealth bank in 1988 and progressed to senior executive roles with prominent financial planning companies in Australia.

In 2012 he was awarded the member of the year for the Association of Independently Owned Financial Planners for his services to the financial planning industry.
​
Darren holds a Masters degree in Banking and Finance and has completed his PhD in Management and Commerce.
The inspiration to build the foundation can be attributed to the wonderful philanthropic endeavours of the late Stephen Brown and Mr and Mrs Percy Plumb, who were dedicated to helping those in society who are less fortunate. Their work is carried on by Darren's passion for providing support to those in the community that need it the most.
Mary Pawski DipFinPlan
Director / CEO
Co-Founder
Mary is a co-founder of this foundation and has been previously involved with several charitable organisations.
Over the last 20 plus years, Mary had held senior management roles in the private investigation industry before changing direction in 2006 to build a Mortgage Broking Business. Mary’s vast experience in maintaining professional and compliance standards in the private investigation and finance industries provides the foundation with strong corporate governance.

Mary has completed a Diploma of Financial Planning, a Certificate IV Financial Services (Mortgage Broking), and a Diploma of Security (Risk Management). She is currently completing a forensic science degree at Edith Cowan University.
John Kiley BCom, Dip FinPlan
Director
John has over two decades years experience as a financial adviser. Companies such as Lend Lease and Macquarie Bank have utilised John's many years of experience and knowledge of the financial services industry.
John holds a Bachelor of Commerce, a Diploma of Financial Planning, and various other certifications in his field.
John is passionate about ensuring the Brown Plumb Foundation is a strong contributor to the community and those in need.

Gary Bourke MB.A. Psychology, Master Social Work
Director / Project Consultant
Gary commenced his career in 1991 as a Social Worker in community and mental health. Over the subsequent 30 plus years, he has worked in a number of senior leadership and management roles in the human, health and social sector, including; Operations Director at the Integrated Mental Health Service (West Moreton), Director Community Health Services (Logan-Beaudesert Health Service District, and Director of Social Work (Logan Hospital).
Gary has obtained a Master of Social Work, Bachelor of Social work, and a Bachelor of Arts.

Gary has dedicated his working life to helping the community, especially in the area of mental health, and he brings a wealth of experience and skill to the Brown Plumb Foundation.
Michael Kowalski ITIL ® Foundation v3
IT Manager
Michael has worked in IT for over twenty years, having held senior technical roles with Fuji Xerox and Australian Technology Park. Michael's roles have included mentoring, coaching and training Technical Analysts to provide support to large IT implementation projects throughout Australia and South-East Asia.
Michael is a member of the ITPA ( Information Technology Professionals Association) and holds several certificates in programming.
As a highly-skilled IT professional, Michael provides the Brown Plumb foundation with strong IT management and operative capability, enabling the efficient delivery of the Foundation's programs.

Farhan Mehmood Master of Science (Project Management), BBA (Hons)
Project Manager
Over the last ten years, Farhan has held several senior project management roles with large international companies and government departments. His roles have included the assessment of Health Information Systems (HMIS) used by Pakistan Principle Recipients for the Global Fund, with a view to HMIS system integration for HIV-Aids, Tuberculosis and Malaria Control Programs. He has also extensively researched the impact of bullying on employee commitment, and the impact of ethical climate on project status misreporting in Pakistan.
Farhan holds a Master of Science in Project Management (MSPM), and a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons). He is currently completing a PhD at Edith Cowan University.
